So, I've decided I want to try and make s2888. It should be a really nice spring/summer dress.

It says recommended fabrics are: Laundered Cottons, Chambray, Lightweight Denim, Pique, Lightweight Poplin, Seersucker, Silks and Silk Types, Challis, Crepe, Laundered Silks-Rayons, Soft Lightweight Linen and Linen Blends.

How will those different fabrics affect the fluidity of the dress?

What's something that's easy to work with but will also give me a nice soft & fluid look? I'm hoping for something that might also have a bit of a shine/sheen to it.

Also, any tips/help for me as I figure out how to do an FBA on this dress? ETA: The midriff has a seam where the bodice has the end of a dart. I think I'm going to have to do the FBA on the bodice, and then add the same amount of width to the midriff pieces so they'll line up.
