I have an older Kenmore that I sew on occasionally. It has the button on the top of the machine to adjust the pressure on the feed dogs, & last time I used it the button wouldnt stay engaged. Anyone fix this on your own?

Thanks!

I used to have a machine with this feature if you are referring to the foot pressure adjustment where you press down on the button it usually has several levels of pressure where it is supposed to stay and if it has an outer ring around the button and you press on the outer ring then it releases the button and the button pops back up again. If the button won't stay down, maybe there is something wrong with the outer ring that releases the button that is keeping the button in the up position.
I don't have a machine with this feature any longer to see the mechanics of it but maybe somebody that has a machine with this feature will reply to help give a fix for you.

Make sure that the part around the pop up portion is screwed in securely.
