Are the Janome people i.e., dealers and/or manufacturer good at honoring their warranties? Has anyone ever had to make claim against their warranty on the 350E? If so, how did that go. Please share your experience with us.

I'm considering buying this machine and am curious about this.

Thanks.

Hi Janice: I have the Janome 350E and purchased it as soon as my dealer got his first one. I've never had any problems at all with it so far and it is about 2.5 years old. I haven't even had it serviced yet. I don't use it every day like some, but I'd say I use it about 8 - 10 hours a month. It was my very first embroidery machine and is very easy to use. I have a 5 year old Janome MC4800QC computerized sewing machine and haven't had to use the warranty on it either. It is used more and gets serviced about once a year, but I love it too and it has never let me down or given me any trouble. I think a good dealer is essential for peace of mind, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Janome if I needed a new machine. The 350E is very economical and has lots of high end features. I didn't buy Janome software - I went with Embird and it is great. My sister bought the TOL Janome 11000 combo embroidery / sewing machine at the same time and had to have to have a major board replaced right before it turned a year old - she didn't have any trouble with the repair being covered. They put in a new board at no charge and it has been going strong ever since.

I have 4 Janome machines ranging from 15 years old to less than 1 year and I have never had any problems with any of them, they just work and work.

I have a Janome 200E (like a baby 350E) and I bought from the local dealer so as to have easy access in case of any difficulties.
Though I am sure he said that the Janome's don't come back hardly at all.

Thanks so much for all of your feedback. Its good to know that Janomes are reliable machines and that they stand behind their warranties. Thanks again for your response.
