Can anyone help me. I got this machine at a thrift shop. No instructions. I threaded it and it works. Can someone tell me what the tension dials should be set on as a starting point.

Also if you have a manual, how many pages are there. The on-line dealer prices vary between $15 for a downloaded copy to $30 for a printed copy. Trying to figure which would be a better price after figuring the ink & paper costs.

Did you try Sew4Less on line? I think they have a printed copy of the manual for about $14.95. They also sell parts.
I suggest to put the tensions at mid setting and use all different colored threads and adjust one dial at a time. It is easier to balance tensions with the different colored threads so you can tell which thread is out of whack when adjusting the tension.
ETA...You might also try contacting Tacony (the distributor of Babylock) for info or needs for this special edition serger.
