Just want to check in with folks. I have a new Evolve - not the wave - and I have had it two months. Maybe less. My light has gone out. I have carried it around a couple of times - downstairs, to the sewing store.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Our babylock dealer says this happens when you move it around and that they aren't expensive to replace. I have never been comfortable with this person so I need to check in with others so I can be reasonable and objective. Rather than responding to my dislike of said person :)

Thanks

Do you mean a light bulb? I would think that would be a fluke, but I guess any bulb could go out - I have NEVER in 39 years of sewing since I got my very own machine EVER replaced a bulb...my 32 year old Pfaff is still on its first bulb. But, they aren't expensive.

I have replaced a light in an Evolve but I needed to have a tech do it. It's hard to get at, is my memory. (I've since sold the machine.)

Thank you all. It does seem hard to get out. I will see if my dealer will help with it.

I've had my Evolve for at least 9 years. I move it all the time and my light is fine. I did however purchase a piece of tubing from my dealer to use for removing the light if I needed to. To date, I've not had any problems with the machine or the light.
