I need a 1/4" in 1/8" out 2way normally closed solenoid valve for an iron...........
anyone ever buy parts for their iron? Where from? The Oz dollar is really good!

Hehehe my hubby doesnt "do" electrical stuff!
Its my baby so I gotta find a way to fix it...........tho I did get advice!
I cant believe how quickly I can burn out a household iron!

This one is a singer Sp 26 sx010..a boiler type..........seems a bit old and except for the solenoid in great condition.......and the price was right! Free!

In the US, I'd look at McMaster-Carr's catalog first. McMaster list 10 pages of solenoid valves. Dunno if they'd ship to oz, but there has to be somebody filling the same market there, and your valve is probably expecting 240V at 50Hz, not 120 at 60 Hz.
Some other general advice: make sure you get one suitable for use with steam. Second, it's unlikely you'll find an exact fit replacement, so depending on how the plumbing is set up, you might have to make some adjustments.
