Have you tried all the usual magazine resources? Ebay, GLPNews, etc.?

That was a fashion spread in the October issue (called Trendy DIY). There is no pattern for the coat in the magazine and I can't even find a reference to the brand of the coat. It is basically just showing how to take a trench, once it is out of fashion, and cut it apart into other garments. I wish the pattern was in the magazine, because it looks like the perfect trench pattern and I want to make it!

Actually, it looks like the point of the article is to find a coat at a flea market and cut it apart to make other garments. I'd rather have the coat!

I would email them to see when it is coming out. that would be a nice pattern to sew.

That's it exactly: They show you how to chop up a fleamarket trench and turn it into your choice of a couple of different garments. Personally, I think the original trench is the best looking option.
Here, however, is a trenchcoat from WOF 9/06 with similar features. There's a half chest shield and the pattern is double-breasted vs single, but you get the idea. This pattern has been reviewed a couple of times here at pr.
And here's another.

I hope that BWOF editors read patternreview.com. I think we should set up a thread of wishlists for them and send them the link.
