Hi,
I've pieced together some blocks as quilt top from a Jelly Roll (Spring Fever) by moda. This top is finished and obviously I've not washed the jelly roll before use.

Now I have some lengths of the same fabric bought so I can cut to make a nice border all round the quilt top. I just got them and I would normally wash all fabric before use but I'm wondering if its best not to wash it this time as the jelly roll top is not washed? Then all the fabric I'm sewing with will be the same.

Would it best to wash the whole quilt carefully when finished? It's not too big just kids bed size.

any advice appreciated!
Thanks.
carrie

Sorry I've no idea why my question has come up twice, I must have pressed the post button too hard!

In reply to Carrie-Jane
I'm assuming all the fabric is the same type (cotton, cotton/poly, etc)?
Then I'd treat it exactly the same for the same piece, though I'm definitely the PRE-washing type!
