wait, are you testing an iPad or an iPod touch? your title says iPad, your post says iTouch. BIG difference! (and I'm curious about the iPad....already have an iTouch)

Whoops. iPad. I have an iTouch already. I wanted to see how it was to type on. It's actually not bad since the keys are decent sized. I wanted something for travel (movies, books, email, etc). It's not a bad choice. But, I'll wait until the next generation come out.

I heard that it doesn't support Flash, which is found on a lot web sites. That would be a downer.

My husband was test driving the iPad this week. He discovered that the iPod does more. One of the things that he was looking at was the Chinese dictionary. I don't remember exactly what he said, but from what I remember, the iPod has a (more) complete Chinese dictionary. The iPad was only mainland?

Anyway, just something to consider, for those of you who like to carry Chinese dictionaries in your pockets. :)

He really wanted to buy that iPad, kept pressing me for one. But I told him that I wasn't buying first generation. Thank goodness he gave that iPad a pretty thorough test drive.

He ended up buying an iPod.

It doesn't support flash because the most irritating ads are done in Flash and Flash is a terrible battery drainer. I use a Flash blocker on my browser and maybe 1 in 100 times do I actually need to click on it to let it run. Hardly a downer.
