I saw an old sunlamp type frame for sale that holds 7 long bulbs. It used to function as one of those tanning beds. It still works, but the bulbs are gone. I want to find the type of fluorescent bulbs used for plants (approx 72") a mixture of cool white and warm white. any sources for plant bulbs anyone knows of?

Um, I think you may have a problem. Cool white and warm white bulbs are typically available in 2',4' or 8' lengths. It sounds like the tanning bed lights are a "bastard" size of 6', which when you think about it, will handle the height of most users. You can pick up 4' shop lights for pretty cheap at Home Depot and similar stores.

Thanks a lot Jan. That's what I'm finding out about the standard sizes of these fluorescent bulbs. It's a unit that lays flat, not one of the newer vertical ones.
At a place called Farm-Tek in Dyserville, IA. I might have found the odd sizes out that I need. I also found some good prices on greenhouses and shipping is pretty reasonable too, hmm.. decisions, decisions.
I have over 90 tomato plants growing from seed, and it's too cold to set them out yet.
Thanks again.
