I have a comfy down comforter we use for the winter...(I have made my duvet covers from sheets) but it is too hot for summer. We have a summer blanket, but my husband says it is heavy.
We stayed at a Marriott and they had the perfect light weight comforter on the bed. Anyone know where I can find one? I searched for tags but did not find (or expect to find) any.

I would also like to find individual sheets to make my cover -- I can't seem to find anything but the sets that include more than I want. I only want to buy 2 king size flat sheets. Any sources for buying sheets individually?

Thanks for any thoughts

You could also ask Marriott. Praactically every hotel we've stayed in the past few years will sell you their bedding (one would even sell the bed!) so maybe the Marriott you stayed in can direct you.

Try www.shopmarriott.com/.
They have two choices and one is a light weight comforter.

I've had good luck finding flats at places like Ross, linen outlet stores and Ebay. Also the higher end dept stores like Macys and Bloomingdales sell sheets individually, and so does Penneys catalog.

IKEA has nice lightweight comfortors. I like the box stitched patterns as they dry very fast and don't get lumpy.

Another option is a matelasse coverlet. Just right for summer with the AC on or off.
