So I've been poking around my online fabric haunts looking for new lovelies, and fabric.com (nayy of course) has some new acrylic boucles. I don't really care about acrylic boucles, but I took a peek, and what ho! That is totally some Marc Jacobs fabric in there. It's a couple years old (there's an unavailable jacket from net-a-porter online here), but it's got to be the same thing.
I know the only way to be certain would be to get a swatch and light it on fire, but my inner conspiracy theorist has given my inner pyromaniac a time-out. I do not believe you, fabric-dot-com! (Although the cost efficiency seems to be working in the consumer's favor this time.)
*eta: they have updated the fiber content, and it's a wool/acrylic/nylon/poly blend. and then edited a second time to fix the linky.

Oooh, that's pretty. You enabler, you. Now, do you happen to know a pattern that would get me that jacket?

That is pretty! The jacket wouldn't be that hard to make, either - I think the biggest challenge would be getting those buttons! As for the pattern, just take any fitted jacket pattern that is collarless - it could be princess seams or simply darts from the hemline (I think that's what this one is). They just used black thread and shortened the sleeves and jacket length. I can almost see a few perfectly matched pockets (mainly because of the black topstitching). Good luck!
