I'm hoping someone who owns one of these or has owned one will be able to share some info. I am trying to find out what type of needles this model uses as well as if it happens to be similar to the Brother 634D serger. I have been unable to find any information on the internet for the 934d, but have found a free manual for the 634D.

I'd love to hear from someone who has owned either model.

Did you find out what size needles this uses? I have both the 934d and 634d and I can't figure out why the needle sizes are different vs. all other machines!!! Thanks!!

Maybe check out the Sew4less website. Just put in what you are looking for including the make and model of the machine and they list the parts they sell including manuals for that model. I think the type of needles you need for your serger are these.. HAx1, 130/705H, or 15x1 needles.

I can't remember what size now, but I believe it was at www.sew4less.com where I found the information and ordered the needles and other parts for my friend, including a manual. They have manuals for both the 934D and the 634D.

I think the difference in the needle sizes for these sergers is that the 934D uses regular household flat shank needles and the needles for the 634D are the round shank industrial DBx1 type neeldes.
My old Babylock serger took a DCX1F round shank industrial needle.
It is so important to use the correct needles for sergers becuase some needles are longer than others or have a different scarf and if not proper type for your seger you could break a looper.
