Seems it's trickier than we thought... (Moderated by Sharon1952)

I noticed that several recent reviews of Burda magazine reviews have links that just open the main pages of the various Burda websites (notably the USA, FR and DE ones)
I realize the reviewers wanted to link to a specific pattern and it's not happening in most cases. Unless they had an image in a personal online album, of course.
Here's an example of a successful linkage: review
and one where it didn't work out: review
This last one puzzles me the most since the link's url seems to be correct at first:
and then it changes to open the main page. What happened!?!?!
Just wanted to attract attention to this problem to those members who review from Burda and rightly think they have the correct link.
FYI, I usually have a picture of the line drawings and the garment photo saved to a dedicated album online on my Picasa account so I almost never actually link to Burda directly.
So, what is the foolproof way to link to Burda's websites?

It looks like the example URL given is an old link, which probably worked when the pattern was first reviewed.
However, if you change the "/en/" to "/fr/" you will get the French version of the page, which still works. When I encounter reviews like the above, I right-click > Copy Link Location, then open a new tab, paste the URL in my browser's location bar, change the "en" to "fr", then hit Enter.
Hope this helps!

Use their French website. They've reprogrammed the English website to automatically redirect to BurdaStyle. How maddening!

What year is that second one from? It must be from before Burda messed up their English website, because there is no such thing anymore as http://www.burdafashion.com/en, except perhaps some random cached page from way back when (a.k.a. the good old days...).
I just use the French site, as quite a few others are doing too. ...That first review you cited links to the French site. The Italian and Russian sites still work, too. There's also a Portuguese one now, but it's the Portuguese version of the user-unfriendly German site. If this is what they plan to do eventually with the FR, IT, and RU sites, I'll probably cry.
(I hope they aren't reading this -- they might think, "Oh, what a great idea!

I'm still trying to find the Burda "envelope" site!
