DH is a pianist, and recently while he was poking around looking for Bach, he ran across this utterly wonderful video. It is a Japanese cellphone commercial, but so clever, and so perfect, I wanted to share it.

Can you imagine the math? I can admire it while being blown away with the math behind it - I cannot even begin to understand how they figured it out.

A bit of a cynic here, but a cool concept and a gorgeous phone! I expect the Mythbusters to give this a try sometime soon!

Thanks so much for posting, it's awesome! It's my most favorite Bach tune, an so uniquely performed!

Thanks for that site. I've bookmarked it for use in my classroom. I have a wooden marble tree that plays the scale as the marbles descend. We use all kinds of marbles on it to vary the speed of the scales. Students are fascinated to measure the surfaces hit and determine how much larger a piece of wood is needed to go down one note on the scale.
Thanks!
