I read in the topic "Body Space" how to make a template from the shape enclosed by the flexible ruler. I also read a few reviews of "Fitting and Pattern Alterations" by Liechty, Rasband, and Pottberg-Steineckert in "Book Reviews". These topics, (forums, boards, I don't know what term to use) need to reference each other. Has anyone used the method of applying the template to the pattern described in "Fitting and Pattern Alterations" If so, could you explain how to adjust for "tilted hip forward" posture. I fudged my hip joint back to be even with my hip joint front, because the two examples in the book were both level. Could this be where I went wrong? The crotch depth line has to be perpendicular to the hip joint line. So where do you line up the template if both lines are at an angle?

Can I ask you to post a picture of the recent pant fitting attempt? I am really not good at picturing the problem via description :)

Lena, Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry it will be a while before I can get a picture of me in the muslin before these alterations. Or would you like to see the attempted alterations on the pattern using the "body space template"? I know even less about scanning pictures to the computer than I know about pattern alterations! Dh knows how to do this, but this is football season

There was an interesting thread on the boards in fitting woes, "Help with DD pant fit?" - October 6th. I believe there was some mention of tilted pelvis. The pictures were really interesting and expert help/advice from other pr members was incredible. HTH

Patti Gee, I read the threads last night. Sorry that I didn't get back to thank you. I hope one of these suggestions works for me. It may take a while, but I'll report back on which one worked.
I wish there was a way to bring up the posts on a specific problem all in one place . I think I had read Marilly's post, but before I became a "friend", I think I could not access the archives. Anyway I hadn't read all those suggestions. THANKS AGAIN!

Good luck Masd! I am so happy that you are enjoying the threads.
It would be great to have a section on the boards, just for pant fitting issues.
