So since my last iron topic got moved here from Patterns and Notions, I figured I would just post here anyway, even though it seems like an iron is a notion of sorts.

Joann's has the Reliable V100 on sale for $115 through the 7th. I wavered, until I got the free shipping coupon yesterday. I could have gotten it for only $10 more through Amazon with free shipping via Prime. And, Amazon has a stellar return policy.
But with free shipping, I saved $14. I hope it was worth it!

you will love it. I have the same one. Remember you need to use distilled water not tap water. I have a dehimidfyer and i use that water. The best one i ever had. It doesn't spit!!!!

I didn't realize that JoAnn was carrying Reliable products. I have the iron and the vacuum board and I LOVE them both. Great products! The iron never leaks... going on 6 years for my V95 and still no leaks.

I second the recommendation for distilled water. Treat it right and the iron will last for a VERY long time.

Congrats!

Indeed I would think irons were a must have notion! :)

I would never have learned about Reliable irons without PR and bought mine from JoAnn's online also. I love it, love it, love it! I use distilled water and empy after use. Some don't empty, but I do. I never want it to die. I also place it on the floor rather than leaving it on the ironing board when finished.

I just got the Reliable pressure iron (from Amazon) and so far I'm loving it! I read all the reviews here on PR, too, and they're what made up my mind.

I probably have too many sewing machines, but how am I supposed to resist when they're either free by the side of the road or people give them to me?
