Where do I get a replacement bulb for a Bernina? Any good online sources, or should I just go to a dealet shop?

I ,get mine off of ebay. You could go to your local dealer and see if they have any. Keep the style no and go from there.
I order my off of ebay.

I got mine at a local crafts and fabric store. I was told that there are two basic styles and each will fit a slew of machines.

be warned, if it is an older model, you might have trouble fitting it. I spent ages trying to insert a new bulb, to no avail. It was only when the machine was service, and the guy doing it had the same problem I realised it wasn't just me being clumsy.

He reduced the size of the pins by about 1mm, and it fitted after that. There must be a very subtle difference between bulbs now, and those in the 1960's.

Well, I don't let mine near the machines after he was baffled-after years-that they had 2 threads, top and bobbin, I just confiscate his small tools to troubleshoot.

Batteries Plus stores here started advertising they carry multiple bulbs for hard-to-find things, you might try them too.

The last purchase we made was from Lowe's.

Look in the specialty bulbs display.

Take the old bulb with you to be sure you get the same base.
