I have most of the Threads magazines from about 1992 through the present. We are getting ready to downsize and since I have the digital version, I would like to rehome most of these. Are there any organizations that would take such a collection?

Some public libraries welcome magazines and journals, and if they cannot use them there is a library list that is nation-wise with who needs what. This can really help - but these days so many academic libraries are going all digital, so you probably are better off in the public library world with these. You could also sell them here in the classifieds.

If there is a college with a fashion, design or tailoring program n your area -- they may welcome them as well. Some high schools here in Canada are now offering fashion and design programs so that might be another place to look.

I bought the digital archive, too. Once a year I take the old issues to my sewing club - they vanish within seconds You might also check with local schools or daycare, who might recycle them into art projects (or read them!).

They would go to someone who really appreciates the magazines by listing them on EBay.

When I listed my collection I got the Express Mail boxes from the post office to first see how many magazines I could pack and then listed them as a "lot". This will also indicate how much shipping will cost the bidder.

I even printed out the shipping/postage label and then all I had to do was drop off (and not stand in line) at the post office, or give to the mail delivery person - I live in the country, so pick-up is not an issue as it may be for one who walks the route.
