What a shock for our whole family.

Our cats always great us on the sidewalk. Tonight was no exception, Patches was on the sidewalk waiting for a rub as I came in. I got the camper keys and was back outside in a minute.

When I came back out he was laying on the sidewalk, which usually means he wants a belly rub. But tonight he was gone.

When I came back inside and told my son, he thought I was joking.

DD is devastated, Patches was her favourite and had been part of her life since she was 4.

He is buried now under the window where he liked to nap. Tomorrow I will take dd to buy some flowers to plant over him.

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty. It's always hard to lose our furry friends.

Very sad news. It is always difficult to lose a pet you love.

I'm so sorry. How strange it was, too. Did he perhaps have a bad heart?

So sad! But thankfully Patches went quickly, rather than lingered. He was well loved!

Oh, how sad and how hard this must be. My sympathies to you and your family. You're wise to see the blessing of a quick ending.
