I bought my olfa rotary mats at Michaels with their 50% off one item coupon. We get coupons for Michael crafts weekly.

Nope- Once they have been scored up that is it. Look for coupons.

I've had a few mats that I turned over and was able to use the back for a while before replacing. Of course, it doesn't have the grid markings. Maybe that would work for you.

I was going to give the same answer as rosehatten gave.

Flip it over and keep using it. If you watch Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting on PBS you will notice they do not use gridded mats.
