I finished 2 quilts for my new grand nieces. Learned to improve my binding and accept that some hand sewing is worth the effort. The Entwined Hearts is my first paper piecing project.

Oh wow. I especially like the pink bows. That is a really cute pattern. The grand neices are going to love these wonderful gifts. You did a fantastic job on them. You should be very proud of yourself.

Currently working on a boys quilt. Sized 40 x 40 inches. It has chickens, chicken eggs, cows, fish, sea life, afield with water, Dachshunds, mini sailboats, and many colorful other fabrics. The blocks are a 4 x 4 finished size, so many of them are needed.
This my 4th quilt in 7 months.

Beautiful quilts -- particularly love the Pink Bows. The green and pink are perfect together yet unexpected.

You have 2 very lucky grand nieces.

I'm just getting back into quilting and am going to start with 2 smaller wall hangings I picked up in kit format at the Madison, WI Quilt Expo -- eventually I'd like to make each of the grandkids a quilt in their favourite colours.

Beautiful!

I love the Storm at Sea /hearts variation. That's such a great pattern. Someone (maybe Eleanor Burns?) has a non-paper piece method for making Storm at Sea using special rotary templates, but I think paper piecing is the way to go for anything with not-45-degree angles. What did you think of it?

They are both lovely, aren't you pleased? I am sure that the grandnieces will love them to bits (probably literally!).

Fabulous! The Entwined Hearts--the curves especially; were those done like Cathedral Windows? Or maybe it's an optical illusion of how it's laying.

I love them both. I dream of quilting. Have never done it since Girl Scout days of old when I had to hand quilt a square to earn a badge in the 5th grade, LOL. (I'm 57 now!). I have a new embroidery machine and want to combine quilting and machine applique to do some baby blankets. I know that's cheating...... for you REAL quilters... but it might get me started! You inspire me. Jeanie
