I've only recently become a member of Pattern Review, but it's quickly become one of my favorite sites. I'd like to contribute by sharing an organization tip I found to be helpful.

I get many inspiring ideas from magazines -- more ideas than I have time to execute. For example, an article on making your own fabric stamps appeared in a recent issue of a sewing magazine. First, I photocopied the article. The treatment requires linoleum cutters and soap erasers, which I don't own (yet). So I went to the web site of an artist supply retailer and printed out information on those items. I also printed out pictures of Andrinka symbols that I may want to use on the stamps. I put all of this information into a single sheet protector with the article on top and stored it in a binder with other articles and ideas. Now, when I need ideas for my next project, I flip thorough the binder and all the information I need is in one place.

I hope this idea helps someone else.
