it took forever to stitch out (Moderated by Pyrose)
Posted on: 12/21/12 0:38 AM ET
This lacy ornament cover took a little over an hour to stitch out. There are 3 sections, each section has two pieces. There were two more sections to stitch out when I gave up. The plan was to make enough sections to cover three ornaments. Not sure I have the patience to do anymore?

It's beautiful, and I think those are so fun to make! I also enjoy the lace snowflakes.

Not to take away from your beautiful project, but interested, Embroidery Library has a free snowflake download that honors those who will be missed at Sandy Hook.
An address is provided so the finished snowflake can be forwarded to the community's local PTA.

Very pretty, especially over the deep red ball.
FSL generally takes a long time because of the stitch count. Often I'll start the machine and leave the room to do other things.

You are a brave woman Doris! I agree these take a long time. I generally try to find other things to do in the sewing room. I always have visions of my machine freaking out and taking off through the ceiling or floor if I leave it alone.

Yes, I've had bad experiences leaving my machine alone. I'll do other sewing or do something on the computer, but I don't like to leave the machine.
