Hi I'm new to posting so hope this is the right question in the right place. I'm making six bridesmaids dresses fro my daughter's wedding in September, and they are strapless with a sweetheart neckline. I will be boning the bodices and putting in a waist stay, but what I'm looking for is some of that rubberised tape that you sometimes get inside lingerie or swimwear to make it cling to your body. I just thought a strip of that inside the top of the bodice might give them a bit of extra security and save the girls from pulling them up all day. I've had a look online and can't seem to find anywhere in the UK that sells it. Any help would be most welcome. Thanks xx

Do a search for "Hollywood Tape". It's removable tape that can hold up your garments. I have never used it, so I don't know how good it is, but it could be what you're looking for.

I needed some before and was in a hurry, so I cut up some thin shelf liner (the grippy mesh type) and used it around the top of a strapless dress. I stitched it inside to the facing.
Hollywood tape is more like scotch tape, but it makes the garment stick to your body.

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

I believe I saw a product for this purpose, when my daughter was shopping for her wedding dress, in some of the bridal stores.

I saw some in just hair headbands the other day, hanging on the walls at the drug store, in that just even the stretchy hair head bands were made of it. I think that is because they figured it would stick to your hair better, and less likely to slide off. Also in several colors there too, just since it was hair headbands. I'm in the USA not the UK, but I think they must have drug stores or such that sell stretchy hair headbands in all countries and maybe even the same kind of ones?

If you want to sew something in, the kind of plush elastic with silicone used for strapless bras seems to be available at Sewing Chest (NAYY and I've never ordered from them, but I do think I've heard of others on here doing so.)

Thankyou everyone for your suggestions. In the end I went to Sewing Chest and ordered some of their non slip elastic, and I also spotted some lovely black diamante bra straps. I bought six pairs of these so that the girls can keep them in their purse and hook them onto the dress if they feel the need once the dancing starts. Result!
Thanks again xx
