Anyone taken yet? What did you think? (Moderated by Pyrose)

I have a discount for a class that ends today and I was interested in this class. If anyone has taken it, was it worth it? Did you learn how to digitize? Any other comments would be appreciated! Digitizing Machine Embroidery class

I hope someone does chime in on this. Interesting she uses both the Brother and Bernina embroidery software. I have a really good workbook, and Carol Undy does great You Tube videos on the Bernina software, but this class might be really good. I love color shading, too and I see you can learn that.
I might bite. Let me know if you do too.

I'll probably go ahead and get the class. I have the Floriani Digitizing Software and honestly have not had good luck trying to use it to digitize. I've used it many times by bringing a file in that wasn't ART and then changing and saving it as an ART file for the 730...that works just fine. I tried following along with the tutorials about digitizing that he has online, but I just don't get it!
I'm hoping this class will help a little - if only the terminology - would be most helpful!
Just signed up for it!

Oh good. Did you see the link in another forum (I'll have to remember which one) where Gilt City, if you join, offers 3 Craftsy classes for $50? I signed up and got my vouchers but haven't decided which classes to take just yet.
I wish I'd signed up for Janet Pray's class at the ASG conference, but I didn't. She has a new Craftsty class I might take since it looks about the same as the one she's teaching at conference. But it's not on embroidery.
About digitizing -- I have done just a few practice things, but nothing that's a big deal. I am not sure I have the time for it, but it seems like it's fun to do once you figure it all out. I'm no artist, and not a very creative person either, but I went ahead and got the full Bernina embroidery software DP V6 just in case I would ever need it. Overkill.
I should probably finish the Creative Machines workbook before taking this class, but it's tempting.

I have not taken this class, but you cannot go wrong with any class on Craftsy. The format is wonderful, you can pace yourself, and you can learn and craft! Enjoy!

And you can get a refund or trade it for a different class if it turns out not you expected. I've only done this once where I signed up for sock knitting class but I ended up not wanting to do sock knitting after watching it. I figured I'd rather just buy my socks and devote my free time to sewing, quilting, and now embroidery.
