It used to be that when I sewed, I used my kitchen table.

I used that table for cutting, for tracing, for sewing - for EVERYTHING. Well, except maybe for eating at *LOL*

And I haven't had any access to sewing since we started renovating our kitchen back in November.

But now most of the renovations are done - and I am >< this close to having my own dedicated sewing space !

I am so BEYOND excited at this.

I have cupboards !

I have a cutting and ironing table.

And I have a table for my machine too !

There is more to do yet, but it is coming along really really well, and I am LOVING it so far !

The table legs are painted and have braces on them now.

The cupboard doors are on.

I have a large piece of pegboard to put up above the sewing table.

And we're going to put a shelf or two under the cutting table - in the corner where the two tables meet up.

Love your cabinetry! I think my ideal sewing room would look a lot like a kitchen/laundry combo. Would want the higher rated outlets, high bar area, island, sink, cabinets, etc. Just exchange appliances!

I will definitely post photos when it's more together !

I am SO insanely excited about getting this space :D

It's just a corner of my kitchen, but it's dedicated, and it's MINE. <3

It's coming along nicely :D

The little shelf in the corner is going to be a little memorial to my Mom. She passed away in 2007, but was a very avid sew-er while she was alive.

The bear sitting there, the T-shirt it's wearing says "Who are YOU running for?" - it's the 2013 CIBC Run for The Cure Bear. Both my daughter (she's 8) and I will be participating in the run.

Boy the room is shaping up nicely. What is that on top left? A TV?
