Any Comments? (Moderated by Sharon1952)

I saw a mag article about patterns from L. J. Designs. So I went over there online and looked at them. They really looked interesting and so-o-o good for maybe a beginning student to work from. Anyone here ever work with these patterns? That jacket one looks like a beginner could sew relatively easy.
Also, they had a neat list of what type and where to use stay tapes.
Bias stay tape:
Curved necklines, hem edges
Arm hole control
Knit shoulder stay
Straight stay tape:
V-neck control
Roll lines
Shoulder stay on woven fabrics
I really should use stay tape more often when I sew. I only ever really use it on low cut necklines.

I have some of the patterns but have only ever made one item (the Sassy Jacket). I thought it was well drafted. The instructions were decent though she does use industrial methods. Lyla is tall so short people really need to check lengths carefully.

Thanks for your input. Maybe the instructions being industrialish wouldn't be good for a beginner sewer. I should just get one and see what is what. I guess I was just being cheap.
