My Burda subscription expires with the April issue and I'm not sure whether I'll renew. I don't actually make anything from them, which is why I am not sure I'll renew, but I sure love looking at them and having them, you know, Justin Case. But is that worth $90 a year?
I let my subscription lapse for a year a couple of years ago and, of course, the most amazing patterns were published in that year. Typical.

I let my subscription expire last November. Can't say I regret it. You can buy individual patterns on the BurdaStyle website for $5.99
I stopped subscribing because I thought the patterns were sort of the same every month with one or two new designs. I might renew next year if I think there is some new design styles.

This is one I think I am going to let go this year too. Since the patterns can be purchased on the website now, why not? I figure I could also pick up the US version at Joannes if I want to.

Would either of you part with your 8/13 or 3/14 issues??
For now I'm subscribing to the US edition. Hopefully I'll see the spring edition in my mailbox.

The first year I subscribed to Burda, I made very few of the garments. Then, I decided to go "All Burda; All the time". The subscription was way too expensive not to use (even 10 years ago) and I forced myself to use only Burda so I would get my money's worth. Now, Burda is my favorite patterns and I don't miss other patterns at all.

Love this idea....I also have been thinking about letting my subscription expire...so going to sew out of Burda only & see what happens.

My last issue was 11/13. I checked the newsagent here and the December issue is the latest to have arrived in Australia. If the 3/14 issue is a good one I'll buy it when it arrives sometime June/July!

I've yet to find anyplace that sells them here.
I'm tracing my second ever burda pattern. I have a couple from the 11/2012 issue (which I found in my county library!!) that I want to trace off.

Tracing is a pain but the Burda fit is worth it especially for pants. I just keep telling myself that as I trace.
