I'm working with Louise Cuttings' Patterns (Swing Set) and making capris with her pants patterns. Any suggestions about the kind of fabric that would work well for a warm climate.

Thank you

I love linen blends(some good ones at Hancocks). I also like light weight denim.

Sunshine, I am very sensitive to hot weather so I always stay with natural fibers and rayon. They keep me much cooler. I would go with linen and linen blends, and cottons. Hemp is a fun fabric if you can find it, IME it's very very close to linen.

Silk noil is a wonderful warm weather fabric as is tropical weight wool.

I like 100% seer sucker for summer garments. It rarely is see-through so it does not need to be lined. Be sure to machine wash and dry before you use it as it will initially shrink.

I hope to use up lots of stash in 2023. I am also starting to give away fabric, tools, etc that I am not going to use in an attempt to downsize.

Cotton sateen....look at some designers such as Tory Burch, Lafayette 148 or Nanette LaPore for ideas. They are showing more "ankle" lengths than cropped but it all depends on your own taste. Above ankle showcases designer sandals without breaking our leg line too much.

Searsucker sounds like it would be cooler than most since it has ridges to catch any air movement.
