I suggest you make a list of what features you want. Then test drive both with your fabrics and see which one suits you.

I have a pfaff 2140 and bernina 440 now. I love the Bsr but love the stitches of the Pfaff. I've heard of problems with Bernina 7 series Which one is more reliable? Such a big decision!

(And my worst PR nightmare comes to fruition...)

I own both, and my best suggestion is to try both and see which you prefer. Or buy both of them.

The PCP has more embroidery features, with larger embroidery field, endless embroidery and more hoops available.

With sewing & quilting, they are both very good. For FMQ, the B750 has the BSR.

The PCP has a very large color touch screen on the right side of the machine; the B750 has a smaller color touch screen in the center of the machine; you may have a definite preference for one or the other for ease of use.

The B750 has a bobbin that holds 80% more thread, but that comes with a downside of a much higher per-bobbin cost and the technical issues that can go hand in hand with new technology.

The PCP has a ton of accessories available, and almost all types of feet are available for use with the Pfaff IDT. The B750 has I believe 12 feet that can be used with the IDT, but they cover most the standard uses one would want to use IDT for. The Pfaff does not have nor use a separate walking foot; the Bernina comes with a walking foot and 3 different soles.

Both are seriously great sewing machines, both can be purchased with their embroidery units or without (and purchased later if desired).

Play (a lot!) with both, and see which one suits you best.

Thank you to you both! I put $$ down on the 750 but I'm leaning towards the Pfaff

A list may help focus your preferences. Pros and cons of the B750 and then the same for the PCP, according to YOUR opinion of what constitutes a pro and a con.

Another really important aspect with both machines, being highly advanced computerized beasts, is the dealer and even more so, the tech. Google for customer reviews on the stores; you want people who will support and assist you AFTER you've paid out all that hard-earned cash. Both machines, no matter how ya slice it, are very expensive, so protecting your investment will be key.

Aside from all that serious stuff, have fun testing and choosing your new SM-baby!

Free motion quilting. Test to see if you even need a BSR. Some people actually do better without them and it depends on the machine. I did very well on my Janome 9900 without regulation. Before you let the BSR decide for you try it with both the machines without regulation.

I run a real B&B (Bernina and Babylock) love them both but my 590 is the real deal!
