The description mentions that the class includes bagging a lining technique. Does it cover the complete demonstration of the technique?
In the past, I've seen classes advertising that they cover this technique but only talk about the hem part. They don't talk about how the lining is attached to the jacket at the sleeve, collar area etc and how the jacket is pulled out of a hole either in the sleeve or centre back seam. Hence the question. - if the above class by Linda Lee covers the entire process of the bagging technique.
If you have taken this class, can you share please.

I have taken this class. I find Linda Lee to be a very clear teacher. She shows you how to line a jacket in detail, and this includes bagging the hem. She shows you how to do all the steps starting with drafting the lining, sewing it, and attaching it to the facing and hems with a machine, to the degree that you can. She leaves the hem in the back to be done by hand after you turn the jacket and lining right side out. Other instructions have a side seam in the lining left to the end. Linda comments in the QA part of the class that she believes that leaving the side seam open is more difficult, so she teaches this method in the Craftsy class. I think there is no doubt that you will be able to follow her instructions and line a jacket this way, but if you are hoping for a video where she shows you the side seam method you will be unhappy. The method she shows does work however, and I now use it rather than the side seam method, because I believe I get a better result, and I find hand stitching at the hem less wearing.

Thank you caren751. I appreciate your detailed response.
I guess I'm more curious to learn how the side seam or pulling through the sleeve method is executed entirely by machine ..Maybe I'll pursue other venues for that video demonstration. I'll consider Linda Lee's class for the rest of the content.
Thanks again. Now I know what I'll be getting if I sign up for the class.

Re: Question about Underneath it all class (posted on 6/8/14 12:36 PM ET)
There aren't any tricks or special burrito techniques to bagging out with a side seam open or sleeve open. You attach the sleeve lining tot he cuffs first. The sew all around attaching the lining to the garment. Also sew the sleeve and armhole of lining together. Then you go to the opening you left and pull the whole garment right side out. No different then if it was a square. Linda's way is easier to match up. You might want to practice on a thrift store jacket to start. Undo the closure at the sleeve and pull it inside out. It is a fast Manufacturing of cheap garments technique to reduce cost, not for better results.

Thanks koo104! That's a good idea try it in a thrift store jacket... To think of all the jackets I donated whereas I could have opened them up and learnt from at least a couple of those jackets.
