How about you? (Moderated by Deepika)
Posted on: 6/16/14 10:03 PM ET
I learned how to "deep clean" my serger by flossing the tension disks with a strip of cotton fabric. That fixed its issues and now it doesn't have to go in for service.
I also saved some money based on a recommendation to use Wawak for serger oil and new lightbulbs.
I wish our budget wasn't tight - I'd ante up for another year's membership (I was a paying member early on).
I also learned how to paste images into Evernote and got really inspired about using it to track my stash, my patterns, my sewing queue and my progress on my list of TNT patterns I want to develop.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll actually get to sew.
How about you? Have you had a really productive day here recently?

Good topic
I am getting ready to go to a user mini-conference for a pattern drafting software I own (but haven't really used). I too, am now using Evernote to capture fashion inspiration so I can learn how to draft those design elements. I'm short (under 5') and on the heavy side, so commercial patterns always need TONS of alterations. I'm hoping to get a few TNTs from this software. I've also discovered lately (no surprise) that, up until now, I've consistently put my sewing time at the bottom of the list. I am pleased to say that's changing (starting yesterday) and so I will have more and more to post about!
