I have several male clients with pants fitting issues. I alter RTW. I'd love to get solid info about what happens to the crotch seam because of different body issues. I'm trying to read the wrinkles.
Where can I go for info that might explain what happens when the rise is too short, or too long? How do you fix the problem when the waist fits but the center back seam appears to be too tight in the butt?
When the pants have horizontal bagging in the front, can I just take off the waistband and take off an inch, then reattach, thus shortening the rise?

If anyone can point me in the right direction to do research, I'd love it. Maybe Kathleen Fasanella? Thanks!

I like craftsy classes. You can also ask questions if it still doesn't fix your problem

I have not seen a copy of this, but have heard of the altering RTW series of books by Mary Roehr. Book
Also there are resources by Judith Turner who had some articles a few years ago in Australian Stitches magazine here

I would think that tailoring books would be helpful since you're working on fitting mostly males.

Cutter and Tailor. What a wealth of information in my sweet spot. Thank you so much for that link.
I now realize that I need to narrow my search to the "tailor" world.

You can also look at the tailors fit and feedback thread at Styleforum. There may be info there you may find interesting as they discuss problems/fixes with RTW.
I myself am a men's tailor/ cutter/patternmaker, i don't deal with RTW much but I am at the Cutter and Tailor, if you have any specific questions you can pm me there.
