I love reading the pattern reviews of patterns that I just bought or have owned for awhile. It really helps to visualize how the pattern looks in real life (hate those pattern drawings-always makes me skeptical)
The one thing I wish the reviewer would include however is the SIZE or SIZES they used. This would help me gauge the fit of the pattern. Is there a way of adding a drop down box or something to the review template to ask for the size used?

I think a question like this comes up from time to time with people divided between those who don't mind giving out their size details and those who do. I find it really helpful if someone writes something like "I cut the size correct for my measurement, but then had to chop off three inches from the width."
I wonder if we could have a prompt to write about the fit or ease in the pattern.

I could see this as beneficial. I respect others' reviews are done with the best intentions, mostly I need to know about the fit and ease.

My students have a line about birthday treats that I think would fit well whenever the "people should _________ in their reviews" topic comes up.

I'm with you on this. I wish they would post their measurements and the size they used too. That would really be helpful, but I understand we all have different ideas about how we feel about revealing personal information.
I haven't posted a review in a while, mostly because I haven't made too many things.
I'm losing weight due to recent weight loss surgery and have become interested is sewing for my new body. I'll be sure to post measurements and size(s) used.

I appreciate knowing what size a person sewed, especially in some styles such as oversized tops. I still follow my own steps for determining what size to cut, but the info gives me courage to go down a size or 2.. If a garment is fitted, I tend to disregard others sizes because we are all shaped differently.
If someone does not want to be so specific, that is fine with me. Any info is better than no info.

I personally find it very helpful if a reviewer mentions they used a pattern size different to their normal choice, be it larger or smaller. I realise that the fit is mentioned in the pattern description on the envelope, and the measurements are given on the pattern pieces, but I have found sometimes they do not agree with my finished garment. I understand totally the reluctance to give personal measurements, I am in that same group, and measurements are so individual to the person's body, eg, broad/narrow back for instance, or bust size.
I think even the most brief review can contain information useful to someone.

Adding it as an option to reviews would be fine, as long as you can pick multiple numbers. No one has to check it if they don't care.
I try to remember to add that to my reviews, but I probably don't always remember.
I do think it would be helpful for searches though, knowing I want to sew a top in a size 16, who else has had success and what are some good current options?

I've considered doing it, but I do a lot of alterations. Sometimes it seems like I should include what size I didn't use.

This is why we have a template and I like to call it "guided" review instead of required things. I however always write down the size I use because I find it extremely helpful not just for others but for my own reference when I look at my review later.
