Hi, I just got a cricut explore and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the best transfer paper for making iron- ons would be. A good low cost source would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!

I have (and LOVE) a Silhouette, the HTV I use has a built in clear transfer sheet on the bottom (that becomes the top after cutting). I mostly use Siser Easyweed HTV. I LOVE the glitter HTV, and have been blinging my clothes with it the last few days. It looks awesome if I say so myself, and is EASY to apply with an iron (a heatpress would work too, but so far I've had no issues using an old hot, dry iron).

I just used the "Cricut" brand of glitter HTV It's $15 for a 12x24" "roll" at Hobby Lobby. (my opinion, overpriced)
It takes longer to adhere than the Siser Easy weed, and it's harder to weed. I bought it locally as a fall-back vinyl when I was working on holiday gifts, in case the order of Siser took longer to get here than expected. It performs acceptably, just takes more heat and pressure to get full adhesion, especially on intricate designs.
I'm not a huge fan of it, but it's not bad, just not AS great as Siser (I don't work for them or anything, just really like their glitter htv) YMMV, but this is my (limited) experience with the Cricut glitter htv. I've used their "Regular" (non-glitter, non-flocked) htv a little, and it performed well, although I haven't really used the "regular" htv much overall to give a fair comparison...I may need to make that my next project.
