For Christmas, I made each of the guys a pair of pajama pants. For next year, I want to do the girls. And I really don't want to buy another pattern (and there were so many sizes in the guy pattern). So . . . what kind of adjustment to the "seat" to give it more room??? The waist and the legs are fine; it's just the feminine bottom is more, ah, voluptuous???? Help, please!

PJ pants are generally so baggy it's not really an issue. I use one of those unisex McCalls patterns for all of the family PJs. Even with my bodacious behind, it seems to work.

I would say it's generally expected that man has less of a difference between his waist and hip measurement than a woman does... but other than that, PJ's can be fairly unisex. If it were me, I would likely pinch the waist in like 3/8" on each side and raise the center back waist by maybe 1/2". Also, it is possible the the mens pattern is drafted for the expectation that a man is taller than a woman... so you may want to just double check the length, and possibly narrowing the legs just a tiny bit... but I don't think the leg width will matter a whole lot- they are just pj's.
