I bought a ruffling foot a while back and I took it out to try it and when I did, the needle hit the inside of the foot where it's suppose to go through! it happens when the pusher goes to shove the fabric in and then the needle should comes down to stitch the fold in.
I don't think I still have the receipt could I get it fixed?

It sounds like your machine needs a trip to the shop to get serviced. The needle is probably out of alignment, so the mechanism that pushes the needle down needs to be realigned. Or possibly the shank needs to be replaced because it's not holding the foot correctly.

Explain the problem and take the foot with you when you go.

You will probably need to move the needle to one side of centre, so it doesn't hit the foot. I had this happen with my very first ruffler foot some years ago and it's still got a dent to this day.

Adjust the swing of the needle, while lowering the needle VERY SLOWLY by hand to make sure it doesn't collide.

If this doesn't help, could you post a photo? ruffler feet are fantastic and save lots of time.

maybe it's the wrong one for your machine
