People familiar with 6D software
Ok, I got the free software when I got my Ruby. It's not much but it will put in jump stitches if you designs doesn't have it The built in designs all have it already. So what you do, if you want to convert and add jump cutting is left click on the design in question and if it's not already in vp3 format it will give you and option to convert and add jump stitches. However if you buy a design already in that format. If you left click you don't get that option. So am I to assume that if you buy a designs in vp3 format that it already have jump cutting commands in it? Otherwise if you buy in vp3 then you to convert into another format just so you can convert it to vp3 to get that option. This seems really stupid to me. If you convert it with third party software like Embird are the commands there? Also this machine is suppose to be able to read various formats. So why would you need to convert in the first place. And why does it have to be programmed the machine knows when it starts and stops. I think this is a very cool feature and want it for all my designs.

Only some companies need trim stitch commands added to designs like Pfaff and Husqvarna. This is a different command from the stop at end of color and cut thread. Embird works for most designs for many brands but this is much more specific to the machines. The jump stitch command has been added by VSM for a few years now within the VP3 format. Most other after market software dons't have this option. Which software component do you have and I can see if there's an easier way to make sure the jump stitch commands are their.
Congrats on the new machine.

So the format vp3 includes the commands? Then I don't need the pfaff software at all.

I think I'm combining two actions. Tying off jumps of the same color at different spots in the embroidery. And tying off at color changes.
