So DH got his free money yesterday. Unfortunately, I can't go running to the Viking dealer with a smile on my face because our furnace and AC broke two weeks ago. Sewing machine money is now furnace money. Sigh. DH was willing to fully finance the furnace so I could still get my machine (he was feeling bad because he's been promising me this since May), but the responsible, debt-hating part of me says no. The money will cover half the cost of what we need done. A new sewing machine isn't as important as central AC in east San Diego in the summer (it stays pretty hot through September here and I have animals inside the house).

Boohoo! But I know all too well about needing the a/c. That's something most of us just can't be without. Darn it all to heck!

Oh I feel your pain. No WAY could I do without A/C either. Once I did have to get a loan to pay for a new unit.
Your wisdom will surely pay off.

I'm sorry to hear that. You were so excited. Well, maybe Christmas will bring you a nice sewing present this year!
Good thoughts

Ugh, isn't that the way it goes, you have free money and some necessity goes caput and uses it all up. When you finally do get your machine you'll real appreciate it even more. Hopefully soon.

Bummer. On the plus side, how much would you enjoy that machine if you had bought it and then learned that you needed the money for very important Ac and furnace repairs. You'd feel guilty every time you looked at it.

I think that when the time is right, the perfect machine and the money for it will show up at the same time.

I hope it's soon!
