a little sewing art (Moderated by Deepika, EleanorSews)
Posted on: 9/8/05 7:32 AM ET
I needed some 'time off' in my brain after being to NOLA, so drawing and sewing were the things to do. I drew this with the mouse and thought y'all might like to see it.
The title is meant to be a little humorous, but I liked this 'exercise in perspective'...I might even print/frame it to decorate my sewing room.

Great fabric bolt drawing. You sure have a sturdy hand drawing this with the mouse only. Bravo.

Design Degree??? I prefer my artistic license

Thanks Els and Marita :)
It's just a regular mouse that came with the computer. I draw using the photo editing software that came with my printer [printer isn't fancy, it was free with the AOL computer].
Drawing curved lines is the trickiest. I use the 'line tool', but click/hold/move the mouse a very short distance each time, to do a curve. It takes a little practice and patience...and lots of click/hold/moves.
If you or your DD like to draw, look for "drawing tools" in photo editing software, then just start a "new file" and start playing.
