I am sure this has been covered in some area before on this website. I just can't find it.
I am looking for an online source for cotton knits. I am looking for a thin, silky type of cotton, fade resistent, no pilling and not see-through. If you have ever bought a Land's End T-Shrit that is the type of fabric I am wanting or something close to it.
I looked at my Joanne's, Walmart and Hobby Lobby with no luck. That is all that is available to me. Hancocks is two hours away from me.
I checked Wazoodle, but they didn't seem to have much. I have also checked Manistreetbymail.com and fabricline.com.
I am waiting to see if I can get Sapndexhouse.com to send me some swatches. I emailed them a couple of days ago, but I haven't gotten a response.
Anyone else have any ideas for an online source?
Thanks,
Michelle Denise

Hey there!
Fabric.com is pretty good. I've used them and I'm very happy with the selection.

In one of the plus sized threads, we talked about buying a t-shirt that is much too large for you or a man's t-shirt and redoing it to fit you.

Bonny lass, bonny lass, will you be mine?
You shall neither wash dishes nor serve the wine;
But sit on a cushion and sew a fine seam,
And feast upon strawberries, sugar, and cream.

I'm not sure what a Land's End T-shirt feels like, but Hobby Lobby has some nice beefy cotton knits. I was surprised to see them there.
If it's a soft silky knit you are looking for, you might want to consider a rayon knit. Someone mentioned fabric.com also fabricmartfabrics.com has some. They are soft and drapey but some of them might be more lightweight than you want. Like a much-washed man's t-shirt.
