Should I? How much should I get? (Moderated by Deepika, Sharon1952)

I got an e-mail for an offer for "FS Signature Finish, bleached middle-weight 100% linen". 5 yards for $26.95 + shipping and handling. It says I can also add up to an additional 10 yards for $5.39 per yard. I probably got this offer because I have been getting their e-mails for quite a while but have never ordered from them.
I would like to make a few pillowcases, but I would really like to sew garments - however since it's bleached, and I don't wear pure white (I look much better in a softer, creamier white) I'm not sure how much I should buy. I know this is a great price but I also don't want more fabric in my stash if it's just going to sit there.
I really love wearing linen, and since I've lost weight I really need some clothes. I'm thinking pants, dress, skirt, shirt/blouse and blazer type jacket. I know I can dye it, but what if I mess it up and get an unusable color? I did dye some silk charmeuse and it turned out absolutely gorgeous, but other than that I'm new to dying fabric. Should I just buy the linen in the colors I want and only get enough of this linen to make the pillowcases?
I hate passing up such a good deal, but I'm really trying to only buy what I really need and will use. Any thoughts or ideas?

I'd buy what you know you will use in the white, and then get your colors of choice for garments. I just ordered several yards of their handkerchief linen and love that weight for garments, mostly tops and dresses for me and family members. I've probably purchased over 100 yards in total from them, with about 30 yards currently in stash (I've placed two orders in the last few weeks). The quality is really great, and some of the colors are just gorgeous. Just as an FYI, they do have a reward system where you accrue points on your purchases and then redeem them for a discount on your later orders. I had a two year gap in between some of my purchases and those points didn't expire, which I like a lot (hopefully they'll never pull a Fabric.com and get rid of the points).
ETA: When looking at the fabric, I'd take a look at photos from people leaving reviews. Sometimes the colors aren't quite what you'd expect.

I'd say, get what you need, maybe just a little more. They sell it by the whole yard anyway. White goes on sale fairly often.
Just look at the width (it may be different than what you are used to). I am told it shrinks some - I can't say for sure because I did not measure it first.
I have made a few things with the medium weight IL019 linen & I liked it. Haven't tried any of this new stuff. I did get some lightweight linen in Driftwood but I haven't made anything with it yet. One end of it got accidentally hit with bleach at the laundromat and turned a weird color, so I probably have only enough for one top, not two. The lightweight fabric looks really nice but I'm trying the shirt pattern out in some of that cotton from Wal-Mart first...

Just my opinion but I never mind seeing linen in my stash.
Other fabrics may look dated later, but linen won't.
I still have a ton of linen in mine and it makes me happy to see it. Just typing this out made me realize that a linen bath robe would be a really cool thing to make and own especially with our hot summers.

I would get the amount offered. They have daily sales, with a special 35% offer every Saturday so there are plenty of opportunities to add to the stash. Shipping costs very often keep me from hitting the buy button as that adds a few dollars a yard to the cost. I have a closetful of the stuff, made into clothing, quilts and just yardage waiting for an opportunity. Have a cart right now waiting for me.

Thank you so much for all your replies. I'll try to post the link but I'm not sure it will work. Also the e-mail did say it was an introductory offer for new customers. Special offer
I think I will just get 6 yards which will make pillowcases for us as well as will make great gifts for the grandkids if I do some embroidery on them. Thanks again.

OK, so I changed my mind... I decided to get 15 yards so I could make linen sheets (which I've been wanting to make for years) as well as the pillowcases.
