My full bust is about 32.5, high bust about 31.5, and I have a narrow back. The Marfy 42 is supposed to fit a 34.5 bust, but with the two I bought recently, I'm finding they are snug across my fullest part in the front. The back is fabulous--I don't have to do much adjustment there, which is a huge change from Vogue--their tops are always really baggy in the back on me. For the Marfys, I have to do a narrow shoulder, and petite them a little bit, but the only place I can find any extra fabric is a little on the sides under the arm, so that's the only place I can figure out that extra two inches is going. I've had this problem with both a pattern that is supposed to be semi-fitted, and one that is closer fitting, although it was worse with the "looser" one. Can someone explain this to me--are they just drafting more fabric on the side, and not in the middle where you would think it would be necessary? I'm not used to having to do an FBA, and of course the patterns I bought are asymmetrical, so I'm going to have to do two separate FBA adjustments for the two sides--a pain, but not impossible. I was just wondering--does anyone else have this issue with their patterns?

I'm wondering how you would describe your bust. If larger than a B cup, there will be a need for fabric to not only cover span but fullness. That is what occurs to me initially.

Thank you, that must explain it. I thought I was a B but maybe not according to marfy!
