After drooling over wax fabric prints for years I finally broke down and purchased some. It is a very stiff fabric. I am assuming you wash it and it softens up. But you know what happens when you assume things. So, what is the correct way to care for this fabric. It is a lovely print and I don't want to ruin it.

I e just washed mine in cold water with non bleach detergent and tumbled dry normally before cutting. The only one of mine that had different instructions was embroidered lace embellished and marked dry clean only.

If the sticky label is still on it you need to remove that first. ( My Vlisco yardage comes with very large stuck - on labels. ) There are directions online on how to do that.
Enjoy your fabric- can’t wait to see what you make! I just love this stuff.

I didn't pre-wash (never do), but subsequenly did so at 30 degrees. The fabric relaxed nicely.
To remove the sticky label, cover the area with a cloth and then lift off with a hot iron.

Thanks for all your suggestions! I think I will prewash it.
