I cannot remember who recommended Singer Sewing Pants That Fit, but whoever did, BLESS YOUR HEART!

I've finally had enough time to actually read part of it and it's exactly what I needed. Not one of my old textbooks covered my old lady bottom half issues & this book does. And this book does in an easy to read format.

So whoever the poster was, I say again...Thank You!

It wasn't me, but I do recommend all the Singer books. They explain everything so well and the illustrations are excellent!!

Good to know, I have that book but haven't really used it yet. Mostly because lately I've been sewing tops and dresses. I have a hard time finding pants that fit well in ready to wear, so having a TNT pants pattern is appealing.

CeCeC, I've had the book for a couple of months but couldn't concentrate because of our TX heat. (don't have a/c)

Temps dropped 50 degrees in less than 8 hours, so I curled up in my bed and started reading the book.

I'm happy to hear your opinion of the Singer series. I ordered the Tailoring and Perfect Fit versions after I realized how well the pants book was written and illustrated.

Thank you for your recommendation for the Singer books.

Gomoiscrafty.........you are most welcome! I'm not a garment sewer these days but I've owned and used all the home dec books for years. Even though the fabrics may not be current, the techniques are timeless and well-written. I can't imagine no a/c here in Texas unless you are in the mountain areas in west Texas. I only thought I was ready for cooler temps - you definitely must be!!

Thanks for saying this. Really, thanks a lot. I checked book reviews just now. Funsewer wrote a nice review of this book, but I strongly encourage you to write a book review too even if all you say is what you said here. That way we can find it when well if long for it.

I have this book on my shelf, but I've never even opened it. I'll have to check it out.

For everyone's future reference, you can usually find used copies of all the Singer Sewing Library books on Amazon for less than $5 for a hardcover book in excellent condition.
