I just picked up a vintage Kenmore buttonholer for the high shank machines (per eBay) at goodwill, and it came with all but the instructions. Looks like the Greist for my singer 301, but attaches differently. Would anyone here be so kind as to guide me to a source of printable instructions for this? Thanks!

Earlier than mine....looks like it goes with a Kenmore Rotary machine. Found THIS on EBay. May be worth the investment or the pics alone may aid you. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help

Exactly what I’m looking for, but I’m hoping one of our members has a copy they can just take pictures of for me— I’m going to be getting a new home for the buttonholer, and I just thought it would be nice if instructions were included. Thank you!

Well, there is this free one online -- the site ("We Sew Retro" blog) is not secure, although since it's a pdf that opens in a new window rather than a file you save to your computer, I went against my usual wise (as drilled into me) instincts and opened it... nothing scary from what I can tell, but open at your own risk.

Thank you, I found that although it is for a different shank machine. ( they call it a top- screw). I would just like to see diagrams of how it goes on the machine, but may just not worry about it if no one here has a high shank model.

Hi Raffey -
I have that buttonhole attachment and more importantly, I have the instructions!
If you pm me with your email address I can send you the PDF of it that I have scanned.

I am not sure what year your Kenmore is from. I have one from 1979 and that is not the buttonholer I have. I would be interested to see how this one works for you! Mine does not attach to the bar. You take the plate off and it snaps into place. I have settings on my machine to go with it. It makes the best buttonholes!
