I’m debating if I want to get a subscription again to Threads magazine. I understand that they’re down to four issues a year now. What do you all think? Is it worth subscribing to? Thank you!

FWIW I am keeping up my subscription. What is the annual price now?, $10-$20? I can't remember. But, at $2.50 to $5 an issue I think the content is worth it.

They’re 6.99 per issue in the Apple App Store. 28 dollars per year for just four issues.
EDIT: when I check online the following prices show up:
1 YEAR
4 issues for $23.96
40% off the US cover price
2 YEARS
8 issues for $39.96
50% off the US cover price
3 YEARS
12 issues for $55.96
53% off the US cover price
I’d like to see the annual price(s) mentioned in the original post.

If you don't subscribe, consider buying the Threads archive or access to it, or the old Threads compilation books from the 90s, like "Great sewn clothes" or "Beyond the pattern".

I consider this a resource we cannot loose.

There are some really solid, in depth articles in the early years... For instance, Robbie Fanning took a good long look at machine buttonholes.
One of her conclusions was that machines that made buttonholes by stitching in reverse first didn't do as well in her tests as those that stitched forwards first. She went on experimenting with needle size and type, thread size, stabilizers, and several other factors to come up with better buttonholes than the defaults from just about any machine.
I miss those sorts of widely applicable articles.

I don't recall if they did it last year or not, but there has been a promo around November/December for a year's subscription for $10, though it put you on automatic renewal.

On automatic renewal for ten dollars each year?

I still find it interesting and would be sad to see it fold. So I subscribe. Kira
