I find tissue fitting a pattern so helpful when it comes to working out fitting and design issues. Does anyone know of a commercial source for the tissue used by the pattern manufacturers?
I would like to use it to trace off patterns that are printed on heavy paper so that I could tissue fit them. I have used regular tissue, medical exam paper, and the soil separator, but I find that the thickness and weight of the regular pattern tissue works the best.
Short of buying up a bunch of 99 cent patterns are the next pattern sale and reusing the tissue, any suggestions?

The Palmer/Pletsch Perfect Pattern Paper (say that 3 times fast) is the same weight as pattern tissue and it's gridded. The only thing I don't like about it is that it comes in huge sheets. I'd really like to see it on a roll.

Gigi, I knew that if anyone would know what to use, you would! Thanks so much. I'll order some and see how I like it. I don't mind the big sheets vs. the rolls. I am just looking for something that is the same weight, and where I live, everything is hard to find. The Internet has become practically my best friend! By the way, have you made up any more Hotpatterns? I'm working on a few right now, so that I can post a few reviews.
Thanks again

Sadly, no. Sniff, sniff. My first big boatload of baseball uniforms - all 1200 of them - arrived the week before Christmas so that is pretty much all I've been doing since. I have been sneaking in a few seams on my Nairobi periodically though!
