The other day, I stumbled across another source to shop for Patrones magazines. Today, I purchased two magazines from Stoff-art (for a total cost of $28.10). Their selection is limited in comparison to a site like Marlo's or the Patrones site itself (right now they have the February, December, and two TallesGrandes issues). The owner of the site speaks English and was helpful when I emailed. I believe that I also read that she can help with Spanish translation as well. They take paypal and their shipping is reasonable (about $5.00 for two magazines) - although, I think that it will take awhile to get here since I think it is shipped media mail.

Anyway, I'm just giddy with excitement about today's purchases!

Hmm, I can't decide if you're a goddess or a fiend...I was resisting Patrones' siren call (the last thing I need are more patterns), but this is REALLY tempting...

I'm happy to help enable! Just kidding. I was just so excited (and DH just doesn't share the enthusiasm) about my purchase I had to share - everyone has been talking about this magazine so much I decided I had to try them for myself.

It's a shame that these aren't easier to get in the US - or so costly (I just can't justify spending almost $400 a year on a magazine subscription!).

I emailed GLP News and asked if they had considered carrying another pattern magazine in addition to Burda WOF (Patrones, Modellina, etc.). (They basically said "Not now, who knows what the future holds".)

Perhaps if enough of us inquire, they would give it a go?

I am so glad you found a better site. I am so hopping mad at Marlo(Rob), just got an email back re lost two magazines that I spent over $us 25 EACH for..well she said they'll cost her 36 Euros to replace and she wants me to split difference in order for me to get my two lost ones. Well of course I cant send her 18 Euros...it will cost an extra 20 US in *...* fees. So I wrote, cancel one of my upcoming issues I paid for already and put that for the replacement. I still think its HORRID service considering all the extra fees etc I paid and its her business, she should be able to write it off. I am losing way more here.
So I do not recommend her at all!
Oh well, in future I'll keep looking at site you mentioned. Sounds like a winner. There is hope

I'm sorry to hear about all your troubles your having getting your lost magazines. I'de be upset too! Let's hope all goes better with this site, I'll post a review of the site after I recieve my magazines.

The main reason I tried this one out is the method of payment (I like paypal - they do the euro coversion automatically, they give you 'insurance' for your purchase, and it's fast!). They also do ebay and have a 100% rating there (so I figure their store has to be similar) and the cost was not outragous (western union is making a killing in fees!).

I've been making lots of purchases lately, so this will probably be my last one for awhile. I think that I have plenty enough to keep me busy!

I noticed that the April & November 2005 issues are a plus sized issues:

April Patrones 2005

November Patrones 2005

...and I just noticed that they had another pattern magazine for sale on the site. "Sabrina Woman" in German...anyone heard of it? Just what I need -- another pattern mag in yet another language to start obsessing over!
